Our Know-how

We have a long experience in nuclear medicine and can leverage the state of the art technology developed by Veenstra Instruments, a company that is part of the ComecerGroup since its acquisition in 2012. Comecer now offers a complete line of Dose calibrators that cater to a variety of usage requirements, from straightforward dose measurements to an unrivalled complete Hot Lab Management System.

Veenstra Instruments had always focused its research and development in radiation related safety, control & measurement. In addition to this specific expertise, Veenstra also provides software design, mechanics and electronics, resulting in a wide range of distinctive products for nuclear medicine, radiochemistry, radio pharmacy and calibration laboratories.

The company name Veenstra Instruments changed to COMECER Netherlands in April 2014.

Ionization Chambers

The heart of every Comecer range dose calibrator is the ionisation chamber: a completely digital detector that gives a fast, reliable reading. The 100% digital output allows the detector to be flexibly integrating into other instruments or structures with no need for a converter or a separate reading unit.

The VIK-202 ionisation chamber is pressurised at 14 bar (absolute) of Argon and its measurement field is up to 2 Ci of F18; the VIK-203 ionisation chamber is also available, pressurised at 1.4 bar (absolute) of Argon, for a measurement field of up to 20 Ci of F18.

Manufacture

As Comecer produces its ionization chambers completely in-house, we are able to customize our products with special sizes or measurement characteristics.

Many of these customized developments have become standardized products for Isotope production facilities and Radiochemistry departments worldwide.
