Our Know-how

We have a long experience in nuclear medicine and can leverage the state of the art technology developed by Veenstra Instruments, a company that is part of the ComecerGroup since its acquisition in 2012. Comecer now offers a complete line of Dose calibrators that cater to a variety of usage requirements, from straightforward dose measurements to an unrivalled complete Hot Lab Management System.

Veenstra Instruments had always focused its research and development in radiation related safety, control & measurement. In addition to this specific expertise, Veenstra also provides software design, mechanics and electronics, resulting in a wide range of distinctive products for nuclear medicine, radiochemistry, radio pharmacy and calibration laboratories.

The company name Veenstra Instruments changed to COMECER Netherlands in April 2014.

Ionization Chamber

The measuring heart of each dose calibrator model is the VIK-202 ionization chamber: a completely digital detector that provides a fast and reliable read-out. The 100% digital output enables flexible integration of this detector in other instruments or facilities, without the need of a converter or separate read-out unit, for a measurement range up to 2 Ci of F18.

The optional: Ionization chamber VIK-203 is available for a measurement range up to 20 Ci of F18.


As Comecer produces its ionization chambers completely in-house, we are able to customize our products with special sizes or measurement characteristics.

Many of these customized developments have become standardized products for Isotope production facilities and Radiochemistry departments worldwide.
